1.2 million adds 1st Q
Just some of the news for the quarter, more to come!

I'm sorry, but your remarks are so childish. It doesn't mean anything to anyone here. Who cares? It's just a company! It's not like my dad owns it or, any other family member. If Verizon has a great quarter, then congrats to them; if we beat them in a quarter then, congrats to us. If you're going to use bragging rights from which carrier added the most customers, then maybe it's time to grow up, Peter Pan.
Fixed. 🙂
So get the flaming out of your system, because no one is going to buy it anymore.
Also,
Verizon sucks.

Up to 62.2 million customers. Of those net adds 80% were postpaid customers. ARPU is up to 49.21, up 1.4% versus 1 year earlier and Data ARPU is up to $7.88 up 51% versus 1 year earlier.
Just some of the news for the quarter, more to come!
AT&T's wireless subscriber churn levels improved substantially in the first quarter, particularly among the postpaid customer base, driven by AT&T's premier wireless network performance and its compelling handset selection. Average monthly subscriber churn for AT&T's postpaid wireless customer base was a best-ever 1.3 percent in the first quarter, down from 1.6 percent in the year-earlier quarter and 1.5 percent in the fourth quarter of 2006. Total churn ...

I really don't care about net adds.
I'm sure the higher-ups in the boardroom do, though.
Don't get too upset though... next quarter, the 'iPhone halo effect' should improve things for you guys. 😉

😢 Not really, the iPhone is not coming out until late June. All this "iPhone halo effect" that you talk about won't be until until Q3....

No initial stampede before the end of Q2 from pre-orders and release day mania? That's pretty suprising. 👀

I'll join you in your assumption that Verizon will beat those numbers
We were both right. VZW added 1.7 mil in Q1.
Guess maybe the market isn't as close to saturation as peeps have been sayin'? 😕
It's pretty pathetic. 🙄

Hell I bet sprint is beat you this quarter!!!! 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣
Is that even possible? ATT/Cing may have stunk it up a bit, but Sprint is practically imploding at this point. 😳

Hell yeah its possible sprint got close to a mill last quarter, and with cingy only putting up 1.2 🤣 I hope it happens 🤣

I wouldn't say it's not working. Isn't it just following a trend and seasonality? The first quarter isn't normally the strongest and I wouldn't say that these results were overly disappointing, although I was expecting a bit more.
just wait until 2nd quarter... alot going on this past quarter. people upset about the at&t thing with reserves and verizon beating us to the unlimited messages ads. also, we've been pushing hard to get tdma customers to switch, which has thrown some customers abroad. we are the only company that has spent the past 2+ years to rebrand sh)t and the like. it's all for an ultimate goal and once at&t or the fcc allow for tdma/analog shut down, you won't have a clear winn...

While there might be another company posting better results we might actually see the opposite. Cingular has been adding customers at a steady rate as has VZW. There are clearly two companies in the nationwide race and they are both leaving Sprintel in the dust. I am a fan of VZW and hope they continue to post high numbers but I am not counting my chickens and gloating at this point.
Please remember Nextel18 that you hid from this forum the last two ...

Cingular= 1.2 million
Verizon= did not report yet but my estimates 1.8 million.
1st quarter 2006
Cingular= 1.7 million.
Verizon= 1.7 million
1st quarter 2005
Cingular= 1.4 million.
Verizon= 1.64 million
I mentioned the above on the other post to you so I think it is essential to put the above in this one. As you can see from 1st qt 2005 to 1st quarter 2006, both Cingular and Verizon Wireless did very well, but it is quite surprising to me to see why in first quarter of 2007 that Cingular reported only 1.2 million after reporting 1.7 million in 2006 and 1.4 million in 2005.
Not supposed to happen? Is there a wireless guideline saying so? Could we be seeing a slowdown due to market saturation yet? I think that we really need to see what the rest of the industry is doing before we gage what Cingular did. My bet is on VZW leading the pack, but it could be a rough quarter for all in the industry.
Are you going to hide again when Sprint gets it's butt kicked and be nowhere to be found, what happened last quarter, were you preaching in a third world country with no internet access???
