My only real hold back with teh blackberry pearl or 8800 is the fact that they won't have 3G when it comes to my area in a month. Is Edge going to be a lot less enjoyable than UMTS?

I saw a side by side speed test between the blackberry (EDGE)and blackjack (HSDPA) and the blackberry won... something about how the blackberry compresses data.....
