Is it true for you direct employees that AT&T is instituting a black out period for vacation time that coincides with the iPhone launch?
Here is the link, stating that AT&T expects an overwhelming response when the phone launches and wants to have everyone on hand to make sure things are handled smoothly.

What are your feelings about this? I think this is just a tad bit excessive for a phone launch and a bit unfair to those of you who want to take their vacation at the height of summer when most people do so.

probably so, remember when WLNP first launched? A.Webb had me OPEN the store at 8am (when we normally opened at 10am). Such an anti-climatic buzz.

This kind of stuff happens all the time..not that big of a deal.. I think that depending on your state they may not even be able to technically deny you taking vacation.. however it would probably negatively affect your review/bonus..

yes its true but if you already had vacation planned and manager knew then you are granted your vacation still.. main thing is that nobody can request new vacation for that time period.. not that much a big deal..
