I am trying to get my new Samsung C417 to be recognized by my home PC. I am using a bluetooth dongle and it is not being recognized. Anyone know why ? Is there something I can do to get it to be recognized? I didn't think I needed to buy a USB cable because I have the dongle but its not being found. Any ideas/suggestions? Thanks!

that phone doesnt have object exchange bluetooth which is needed to transfer files via bluetooth. it only supports headset and handsfree which are talk related bluetooth profiles.

they say they did that to keep the cost of the phone low.

i just think the phone is wack. no offense.

I took everyones advice and dumped that piece of crap Samsung C417. It was crap for sure. I got the Nokia 6126. I had the 6133 when I was with T-Mobile so I am very familiar with the handset. So far I am happy. I just hope the battery life is a litle better with the 6126 than it was with the 6133.

Sorry, as sowhat said it is not capable of that feature. Samsung chose not to put this feature in the handset.
