As a result the various going ons with my employment at Sprint I'm considering switching back to Cingular.

Recently my corporately owned kiosk was sold off to become an indirect store, we were not given the option to transfer out to another corporate store and our employee phones will be shifted over to a dealer plan which requires a 2 year agreement.

Since I'm not happy with the third party rate plan offering I figure I might as well spring the extra monthly fee and just get something a bit more worth while.

If you are still with me so far, I do have a question for the corporate reps, how difficult is it to turn a consumer plan into an employee plan?

not very difficult at all, but if it's under contract, you would have to wait until the contract is out or pay the etf.

Well that wouldn't help me out much if I got the phone first, I'm looking to apply to Cingular REAL soon anyway. It's to my understanding that employees get two lines, one data and one voice but both have unlimited usage of features, if I were to be hired would I be able to port in my existing Sprint numbers to use as my employee lines?

We no longer get 2 lines, now we get 1 (most of the time it's a pda of some sort).

As far as transferring your number... if you transfer it into a COU line, you'll lose ownership of the number and Cingular will own it from that point forward.

After 90 days, you can get an ERP line, which is just about free... (ur number, ur phoneline, ur bill)

digit, this info is for my market so this may vary where you are. as long as your cingular account is in your name you can transfer it to a cou--even if the contract is not over (you shouldnt need to pay a termination). when you transfer it into a cou you will lose rights to the number, so you might want to look into transferring it into a erp after your 90 days. Also, in my market we have 2 cou lines and 2 erp lines. We have one pda and one push to talk. Push to talk has been pushed to the back burner in my market so now we have one pda and one 3g phone. One piece of advice i would give you is: look around at all the carriers. In my market we are one of the lowest paid reps-under verizon, sprint, and even alltel. If you are in a union marke...

What are the average starting wages for union and non union reps? I was making close to $12 an hour as a lead rep before my employment situation changed. What do the ERP lines consist of, as in average price and features?
Thank you both colione112 and retrolike for the information you've provided so far.

All new hires are bargained for (union). You do not get a choice. Also, while contract minimums are in place, most markets hire above that. It will depend on the market. $10 - $12 plus commission is common.

Also, depending on market, two company owned lines are still issued.

ERP consist of a 1000 minute line and 500 minute line to do what you wish with. (friends and family)
