What about the Cingular 8125? And, what type of data package do I need. I have the 20MB package now. I don't think that it is the PDA connect package.

you could try the awful version of awful Internet explorer on that device.. If I were you I would install Opera mini or mobile on your phone... If you expect to do any significant browsing on that phone along with email.. please get an unlimited data plan of some sort.. 20Mb will go in a flash and then the shock of your bill will follow..

You can reach Phone Scoop with just about any browser-equipped phone. It doesn't need to be a smartphone. As long as the browser can display WAP sites, you'll get at least that (which shows news and new phones). If you have a full browser like IE, or the S60 browser, you will see the full site.

I wanted a phone with a QwERTY keypad and internet access. We cut off our internet at the house because we were under the impression that we could have unlimited access to the web. This is not the case. Now I have changed my data package 3 or 4 times this month so I will be billed out the ass for prorations. ๐Ÿ‘ฟ

Well it is extremely difficult to substitute home internet with mobile internet, but if you have a PDA phone the unlimited internet on it will be much more than the unlimited media net, which is what I have on my phone and use opera mini.

I started out with the unlimited access to the Internet. Then I switched to the 20 MB plan.
๐Ÿ˜ก Then I was told that the reason why I couldn't get on the website was because I did not have the unlimited package. I then found out that it did not make a difference with the unlimited plan. ๐Ÿ‘ฟ Then I switched back to the 20 Mb plan again. ๐Ÿ˜ข Now, I'm gonna have an outrageous bill because of all the prorations. What can I do?

I dont think your bill will be that bad. You have a pda phone right? You just need to make sure you have the pda internet plan and I would go unlimited. That way your not worried about overages. But if you got a regular phone and the unlimited media net you would save money. And you can do anything with opera mini. I'm using it to make this post now. You could also inquire about a tethering plan where you could have unlimited on your home pc and your regular phone for one price.

It usually ends up costing more in the long run when having it on multiple phones. And its just not the same as having internet on a home computer. The media net for a regular phone with Cingular is 19.99 and you get 200 msgs with that.

I post a lot in the VZW forum using my Samsung i730.

I read the front page too. Don't go into the Lounge on it though. I think it would overheat. ๐Ÿ™‚

I dont have Verizon, so I try to stay out of there, unless I get tired of them coming over here and starting crap, then every now and then I stoop to their level and go over there and tell them what crappy phones they have compared to us. ๐Ÿ˜›
