. . . but when the phone actually comes out, I have a feeling it'll be a while before everyone gets sick of it. It will have it's haters, doubtless, but I suspect that if it's even close to the quality it's being touted as by Apple & the journalists that have actually played with it, it won't be going away anytime soon.
I'm really sick of hearing about how great it's going to be, though. 🙄 AT&T/Cingular promotional stuff somehow makes me loath whatever they're trying to push.

Frankly, I say it's a callback to the days when the Razr was released, an overpriced over rated phone that doesn't have nearly as many features and some other models currently being offered.

Ok, the hype on the iPhone is really, truly bad, but it's way different than the RAZR. Aside from being really small (compared to most phones at the time) and somewhat stylish & iconic (or iConic? 😉 ), the RAZR was just a phone, with virtually no advances being made in terms of cellphone technology.
The iPhone at least has the advantage of having several new features & technologies (multi-touch, OSX in a phone) and comes from a company with a history of ground breaking products.
Am I excited about it? Yes! Do I wish everyone would just shut up about it until it's here? (and probably even after?) YES!
