🤣
Just messing with ya. Any word on what the Unity plans may look like? I recently picked up some cingy collateral and didn't see anything about these plans. Whats the time frame for launch of these plans?
...
the unity plans have been out for a few months....basically you have to have a bellsouth local and long distance plan for home....and then you can have the unity plan.....same as nation plans, just trade the rollover for unlimited calling to AT&T landline(bellsouth landlines)
...
Or select AT&T home calling plans, depending on which state you are in.

What kind of response have the Unity plans been receiving? Are most customers keeping their current plans with rollover and foregoing the AT&T land-line service? Perhaps because I'm in the BaWa market there wasn't any collateral on these plans, last time I checked AT&T didn't offer service in Maryland.

I'm in Illinois, and from what I've heard, they aren't all that popular. There are those that benefit from these plans, but most people I know would rather get a better deal elsewhere. But that goes back to the fact that the Unity plans do not appeal to me or my demographic. Personally, I hate m2m. I don't want to think about what company people I know are using. That and so many people (and businesses) use alternatives like Comcast or Vonage, so now I have to figure out who everyone uses? I'm not so high on rollover minutes, it seems like a lot of people think it's a contest to see who can accumulate the most.

I like the idea of streamlining the billing for all services onto one bill, but that doesn't help those consumers that desire who are located in markets where AT&T does not provide additional services. I am not so fond, however, of the idea that you sacrifice rollover minutes to be able to call any AT&T residential or business line, as you had stated paddyoc it is almost a crap shoot figuring out what land-line service someone is using. I'd much rather have the rollover minutes as a safety net than the m2m.
Is there or will there be any feature much like the Pivot feature Sprint and cable operators are offering through their joint ventures?
...
Describe these "Pivot plans" to me.......They aren't in my market......It's nice to have everything combined into one bill, but that is why I use automatic bill payments. To save with AT&T, I would have to use their services, most of which I have no need for. I don't use a landline, and I use an aircard with my laptop, and DishNetwork can kiss my a$$. My parents are lazy technophobes, they have the biggest packages for whatever they do, and they barely use the mobile phone or watch tv for that matter, so that idea appeals to them, even though they aren't really saving much, and thought the Unity plans weren't for them. If they went with Dish, which they won't because of misgivings about satelite, they could save $5 a month. woo-hoo.

Pivot is a service that Sprint is offering in conjunction with Cable providers like Comncast and Time Warner, there are only a few test markets right now like Boston and I believe parts of Ohio.
Pivot is the combined billing of wireless and cable services which allows the customer to access tv channels on their handset they would normally view on their home tv, as well as access to home email and even setting up DVR recordings while away from home. There is also the ability to have unlimited calls between the cellphone and home Voip phone service.
What sort of qualms do you have about Dish Network?
...
Service, price, customer service, and flexability to change equipment. I used to sell DishNetork, and I was setting up an account for a family one day. They had service with them three years prior, and DishNetwork would not give out any new customer promos. They had canceled amicably with no unpaid balances or anything. I would have understood had the gap in service been shorter, but 3+ years? Their picture quality and channel organization did not impress me that much. I hope Pivot comes to Illinois.
...
I actually fond Dish Network to be quite a good experience, since moving and only being able to have cable my experience with Comcast has not been pleasant since signing up. But to each their own.
Pivot should be launching nationwide once the trials in test markets have been completed, so you might be able to sign up sooner than later.

They already have.... they are in a separate brochures labeled "AT&T Unity plans". They take away rollover and substitute it with unlimited calling to all AT&T business, home, and wireless phone. They also do not offer the 39.99 individual or 59.99 familytalk plans with "unity".
