At last...the official word
As most of us already know...The official word on the merger is actually here, the first "approval" words came from the Justice Dept., it's all over the news now, and then more news, this time from the FCC is supposted to be coming tonight or Tuesday, check out just one of the links: http://www.wirelessweek.com/index.asp?layout= document&doc_id=136429&verticalID=34&vertical =Business+and+Finance&industry=

Yup, we just got our email about it 😁 had a pretty eagle on it.

what does the email intell info wise?

Just that the Dept of Justice gave it's approval today... we have to divest some spectrum in specific markets including all AWE assests in Oklahoma City and Ponca City, OK, and sell or move some asssets in small markets and rural areas in Connecticut, Kentucky, Oklahoma, and Texas. (run on sentence, not going to fix it.) We'll divest about 258,000 customers from AWE, and 10 MHz of PCSspectrum in DFW, Detroit, and Knoxville, leaving us with 80 Mhz in DFW, 65 MHz in Detroit, and 60 in Knoxville.
It all seemed to follow what everybody expected it to.

Do you know if the SE Ga (Market 35) will be getting any more towers to close the gaps in coverage around here from this deal?
...
All it mentioned were places that we had to get rid of overlap. Since it didn't say we would be losing any from there, we could reasonably infer that there will only be an addition of towers. Look up AWE's coverage and overlay the map with ours. That should be a pretty good estimate! 😁
