New phones coming with the announcement?
We had all just heard the news this morning and now we wait and see on the implementation of the two companies to see what new services and what will become available.
Does anyone know what kind of new phones we might see in the very near future from Cingular?
Some changes might be needed in the Phone Finder section here at phonescoop as well to reflect what models might be coming.

We have not seen a verfied report on new phones yet, there are a few maybes and possibilies but nothing concrete. There will be more as the next 30 days go by.

What are the new phone plans? Like unlimited imcoming text messages or unlimited mobile to mobile on local plans? Just curious what the knew plans are.

Nothing local. 3-4 regional plans, 10-11 nation plans, and 4 North America plans. Region and Nation'll have Family talk options, and Nation and NA'll have rollover (except for the $30 Nation plan).

The V3 RAZR is due to ship on Nov. 18 assuming Cingular gives the OK on the final software when testing is complete.

39 phones will be avaliable appon launch. We have a Cingular training staff on our site for merger training which i just took and they said 39 phones will be avaliable when day one launches in aprox 30 days or so.

yup. apparently they are getting a bunch of phones that are going to be Cingular only. Apparently they went to a bunch of manufactures and said "WE ARE CINGULAR HEAR US ROAR...and give us a bunch of phones that you will only sell to us for our launch" Apparently a bunch of manufactures said "ok".

Well, i'm an AT&T Wireless customer, and like millions of others, new to Cingular as well. On the website: newcingular.com it says that if someone like myself, who is a new customer, wants to take advantage of what Cingular has to offer...in terms of their services and plans, I would have to buy a Cingular branded phone.
So, hopefully we don't have to wait long for a good variety of models to choose from, and since Cingular would want us to buy a new phone and plan from them, it shouldn't be but a matter of days to a couple weeks until we see some new phones...it's just a question of which ones we will see first.
