MY wife's phone picks up an ATT tower at home... Still says "Cingular Extend" ...

How long before this changes?

"Roaming" on ATT towers no longer counts as "off network", right?

Yes and no, Chances are Cingular will not come down on you for this, but the fact of the matter is depending on the area you're in Cingular has to give up spectrum... Meaning some ATTWS towers will not be claimed by Cingular. Either way though if you're within your home area, your phone picking up Cingular Extend is not a problem.

I don't think we're in an area required to give up spectrum... The place in question is in Rockland County NY. And it is the home area...it's a national plan...

If you have a GSM Nation plan, doesn't matter whether you're on our network or billy Joe Jimbob's network, you're good.

Yeahp. Wasn't sure about the rate plan or the area... So I took the "safe" approach. 🙂
