lol

this is gonna be funny

someone from cingular photoshopped those pics and put them up there
good job i might add

why would cingular sell such a device as prepaid think about it

it would be pointless for us to do it that way

No, those features are real. I have seen them. AT&T probably won't sell them as prepaid devices, but what is to stop someone for buying it on postpaid and then just giving it to someone on prepaid? They could just pop their SIM in there and they are good to go.

also i heard its gonna be the same price retail as well as with a contract so why not buy it retail. but i definatly dont understand why you would have a 500 dollar prepaid phone

how do they pop the sim card in it when you can't take the battery cover off? there is no hatch or anything else to slide it in either. 😕

BGR is very credible...their not the onlyones reporting that..so is engadget...the only problem is...if the phone is 499-599 with a 2year contract..then prepaid will prob run you 699-799..good luck with paying those prices...but some people will do it...

I wonder if Apple would allow that contractually.I doubt it..You can always get any apple product for within a few bucks of the Apple price no matter where you shop...Even walmart or costco can't or don't sell ipods more than a few dollars off. I can't see them going the other way either..

If it's going to be $600ish whether you sign a contract or not, who would care whether it would be prepaid or postpaid. I can't see how it would hurt either Apple or ATT to do this. They are going to make their money either way.

still i say for that price you might as well get a UMPC...600+ is just 2 pricey for a 2g phone with touchscreen.

agreed. I think this more flash and dash than substance. Looks like they are going to charge an arm and a leg, and put so many restrictions on both the phone and the rules purchasing a phone that it could be a really nichey kind of thing.

that and this is all a apple marketing scam...their going 2 attract all the new customers with this iphone..then in 6months their going to release the iphone 2.0 with 3g..so the now existing customers will have to pay full price to have the newst and best thing...and you know they'll pay...hence the i have the iphone...kind of people...
