I'm not so sure if the iPhone will be Apple's undoing... but Cingular will definitely be a thorn in it's side until their exclusivity contract wears out.
You see, I'm sure that Cingular paid Apple a pretty penny to have an Exclusive contract. On top of that, 75% (if not more) of Mac users are fanatical about their Mac products and will buy it simply for what it is... a Mac designed PDA, regardless if it has crappy wireless phone and data services. So Apple doesn't really have too much to worry about.
