V3xx question
OK - I've got a customer who brought up an interesting question today. Please try and help me find a solution rather than laughing...
When she does a voice dial, the speakerphone automatically defaults to on when the call gets placed.
I told her that all she had to do is hit the speaker button and it would turn off, but apparently that's too much effort.
Does anyone know if you can turn this off? I searched for a long time trying to figure this out and I can't get anything.

I have not run across that yet in any of the V3XXs I have sold. I wonder if it may be a glitch in that particular phone. I'll check a few and try to get back to you.

i have not seen this either. I would warranty exchange the phone.
...
mine does this as well.

then again it doesn't work too well in general, but the rest of the phone is great.

This is what the phone is supposed to do. The voicedial feature is supposed to be basically a hands free feature so when you do a voicedial this shows up. If you have a bluetooth attached it obviously will go through the bluetooth instead.

I know, I explained that to her. But her situation (I know this is stupid) is that she would like to hold her hand to her ear and not have to press ANY buttons when doing voice command after the intitial button to start it up.
I love these customers. It's like come on man... just press one other button after hitting voicedial... Jesus.

what if your phone doesn't recognize any of your contacts, like even words like "home" and names like "nick"?
...
sounds like she has the hands free settings to answer on speaker.....
