Last day on the job.....reflections and advice.

As I reflect back on my career in the wireless industry, there remains a few things I will never miss....

1. Water splashing on my desk when opening the back of a phone, while the customer says, and I know I get a free one, cuz I've never got it wet.

2. Raheem, who came in pissed because we "screwed up his bill." After 5 minutes of verbal abuse, I say "So if I can clarify, You're from Saudi Arabia, and the calls on your bill are to Saudi Arabia, but we just put them on there to jack your bill up?.....right.

3. Sam, a former co-worker who pulled every Nigerian scam to con me, and the company. Glad you got canned. And all the other wireless scammers out there who pull shady activations that should have been upgrades.

I think you forgot one buddy.

Customers who refer to the chip that stores all of their numbers as the "sims" card.

Or the people who come in with their phone broken and I tell them that they have to buy a new phone at the full retail price and they say "Well isnt it under warranty? They should just give me a new one"

Ohh I just thought of another one. People who come in asking to have a credit application ran but do not have a valid government ID.
They try to use either an expired ID or a credit card with a photo and even a Sam's Club or gym membership.

Let's not forget the people who can't speak proper English wondering why they are required to put down a deposit after running a credit app.

AND also the people who tell you about their stellar credit score (*while* you are filling out the application) but go on to say they have missed some payments "here and there like everyone does". They then proceed to look at you like you are a maniac that is directly responsible for the results saying they have to pay a deposit.
