I saw it also while watching 60 minutes. I'm jealous that I won't be able to get it since VZW declined to carry it. I'll just have to hope that they'll make a CDMA version two years from now.

Not sure if I want a Verizon type of IPhone especially when it has to deal with on Verizon’s network especially when it comes to crippling their phones as well as putting limits on their data usage. I also would not want to because HSPA is a lot better, well theoretically, than DO. I would stay with Cingular’s network over Verizon’s. Wait until the 3g/4g Iphone comes out for AT&T, because it will be spectacular.

In this case, I would give more props to AT&T than Verizon because they would not cripple the phones.

Didn't Verizon pass on the iPhone? I'm not disagreeing with you that Verizon will not likely ever get the iPhone, but the fact that they passed on it means that Jobs was willing to consider Verizon as a carrier.

Yeah verizon did pass on it, because apple wanted to much. Apple wanted single name branding and most of the profits. And the powerhouse verizon wasnt having that. So they passed, but they say they have an iphone killer in the works...the elusive motorola "M", and the american lg pradaphone the lg KS20
