Question about Premier

Hey, yesterday night, I used my school email to sign up for premier, and cingular is giving me a 15% discount on my service. Currently, I have 2 lines that are elligible for an upgrade, but when I click the upgrade now button, it takes me to this premier screen with different phones to choose. A lot of the premier discounts are worse than the standard deals you would find on the website or in a store.

My question is this: now that I have Premier access, can I still go into a corporate store to upgrade my phones and still get the standard deals like everybody else if i wanted to?

apparently, anyone who has a gmail account can get access to Premier

this will allow you to get discounts on new phones particularly 3G ones as well as other perks

Here's the deal: BMG/Premier pricing is total [male bovine excrement]. The prices you see for retail are the inflated MSRP of the phones, which are almost always higher than the "retail price" shown on the consumer site. This is so the customer discounts are offset, and become the same as regular customers. For example: let's say Microsoft - you can see their Premier page by going to

http://www.wireless.att.com/benefits/microsoft »

which is a re-direct URL for their Premier site. They apparently get 50% off equipment. However, that's 50% off a higher price than what's on the consumer site, so the discounts are a wash in most cases. Also, that discount only applies when activating a new line or when eligible for an upgr...
