Does at&t offer one year contracts on new service?

Then if sign a 2 year contract, am I allowed to upgrade my phone after a year for a discounted price like at Verizon? Or do I have to wait until the two years are up?

well you couldn't do that with just any plan on VZW so maybe you have the right plan to do it on Cingular

Actually, we used to offer one year contracts. Nationwide, as of June 4th, no more one year contracts.

The hammer only just dropped on Monday and I know I'm still having to keep an eye on my reps about giving the correct info. It was probably just someone who wasn't informed of the change yet.
