at&t employee considering switching to Verizon.
I need some advice about switching to Verizon from at&t as an employee. In my market verizon sales reps are paid much better than cingular/at&t reps, and I am trying to get a interview with a verizon manager. Have any of you guys swapped from verizon to us and like the job here better? What are the advantages of both carriers as jobs? Any info would be a lot of help. Thanks

Whats up man, I recently switched to Verizon after four years. I was an original blue employee that stuck around after the merger. I've been over at Verizon for about 2 months and so far I prefer it hands down. There are similarities in the fact that you have to work hard to make your number but the rewards to me are far better that the "new" at&t. Honestly by being there it reminds me of the good old blue days. They are by far doing everything in their power to bring traffic into the locations and their training program is ranked 5th in the nation of fortune 500 companies.

The good old blue days, huh?? Wow I miss that also.... What's the charge back period on your commission?I heard it was 1 year? I also heard it was a great company to work for- driving in store traffic is critical.

Yeah the charge back period is 1 year but the majority of your sales are postpaid. Being that I haven't been there that long I havent felt the sting but from the reports i've seen the average churn rate per rep is under 2% so it shouldnt be that bad. So far I couldnt be happier over here.
