The $39.99 media unlimited package is the wrong package. You need the $39.99 PDA Connect package. The good news is that price now includes 1500 texts, which is didn't back in December.

but shouldn't the media unlimited package allow for media net and cingular video..I'm almost positive thats included..my internet browser works perfectly and I can do everything, but media net and cv dead...

You know I had the same problem but I had the PDA Personal Pro which included the 1500 text. When I called ATT cust service to trouble shoot it turned out that it was the connection settings.

*FIX* (as given to me)
Go into IE - Click on Menu and Options then Connections. Make sure that Automatic Detection is UNCHECK and that your connection is set to WAP Network. This should fix the problem. Just make sure you power cycle your phone after and before you try to access anything. You probably don't have to but this way the settings take right. All other settings will stay the same but the IE settings.

I know what the description of the MEdia Max packages are. I also know what package PDAs are required to be on.

you might very well be right, infact i know your right..but the whole thing of blackberry's needing the blackberry plan PDA's needing PDA plan, is just not true..media max works for all of them, so long as you dont say anything to the store.

It does work. There's no question about that either. It violates the Terms of Use though. Since I sell it, of course I can't advocate that. Also, they can check your IMEI even if it's not on your account. Read the prepaid thread. You're taking a gamble on when they'll catch you and how much you'll have to pay when they do.

Since you're already paying $39.99, the only downside to changing your plan over is you'd go from unlimited text to 1500. If you need more than that... that sucks. If now, I'd highly suggest doing it.

nope. blackberry is the exception. it will not work for internet or picture messages without the blackberry plan. pda's can get away with a different plan other than pda, but not recommended.
