Anybody noticed the profit margin on these things yet? No commitment pricing plus a $60 spa... I think I'm in love.

for us they seem to only pay us about what a decent upgrade would pay. Nothing special, but if theres a good bit sold, this can help out quite a bit en mass.

We're getting about $30 more than what we get on an upgrade from these. Some, like the V400, make less, but most seem to stay around the $30 more.

it does look promising...for those stragglers we get with 750 deposits..haha 🙄

hopefully this will boost my stores business...we don't sell prepaid as it is because its a hassle and we made no money from it...but with the money we could make off take charge and the fact that we really don't have to do anything different to sell it, its a welcome addition.

I'm still not sure however if the coverage for Take Charge is the same as the GSM Nation map, or if its the (crappy) prepaid map?

It's the crappy pre-paid map, but it's better than nothing. Maybe that map will get bigger soon with the aquisition???? We can hope.

the Prepaid coverage map already includes all Cingular and ATT company owned towers. i just hope they get some roaming agreements in place for more coverage, either woth no roaming or at least a higher roaming rate.

well bottom line is that the prepaid map does not have the same coverage as the GSM nation map. So it shall still be referred to as the "crappy" map. 😉

Not really sure why the difference...we have put a lot of work toward making "one map" with the notion of GSM nation, and "no roaming, period." I'd really like to see ONE map for all our services...Take Charge, Prepaid, Postpaid, Voice/Data. Its either a good idea...or its just me being a lazy salesperson (but I sure am sick of these 2 million extra brochures i have laying around)

Take Charge just got the suck... there's a 180 day vesting period for chargebacks of the $60 com. Don't sell your phones below cost!!!
