For those of you who work in stores...

What's the first thing that comes to mind when someone calls in to ask "What kind of plans/phones do you have?" 😁

I don't work retail but I often receive calls similar to that.

I simply ask: What exactly would you like for us to offer you?

I know these people are shopping around and if they have gotten other carriers' offers I simply customized my offers to theirs.

The problem is when these people have read a newspaper add from a dealer as they normally advertise 1 or 2 plans side by side with the best of each plan in bold letters and the customer things all they read is included in one plan.

The annoying thing about it for us retailers is that we're already trying to help a customer in the store, and we'll answer the phone to try and direct others to us where we can help them more. Some people just don't seem to realize that we're a store and can't sit on the phone with them all day explaining every feature without ignoring other people who've been waiting longer. To make it worse they'll just keep asking questions as we're trying to get off the phone.
