just got a black jack
i have a question about chraging it ... it came with 2 batteries and a little black box that looks like a battery holder...
Is my blackjack charging while its plugged into the computer, i did not come with any type of ac adapter.. just the two batteries the extra back and the cable to sync it up to the computer...

It is. It's drawing off the 6v of the USB adapter. If you want a wall charger for it, they are out there and you have some choices. There are some USB plug in style AC wall adapters for use with iPods. Cingular stores carry a wall AC adapter and Radio Shacks carry iGO chargers. The Blackjack uses the new Samsung A109 stype tip (it's shared with the D807, Sync, UpStage and a few others).

thanks man it doesnt designate like a blinking charge or anything to indicate that it is charging i hade the 8125 and i knew it charged off usb adapter so thats cool at least now i know.
Yeah ill be picking up a wall and car charger i work at best buy so we get them rediculiosly cheap...

If you didn't get a wall charger with your phone you need to go back to where you got it. It is supposed to come with one, at least mine came with one. Oh by the way check out the thread regarding WM6 for the BJ. I downloaded it and it is nice but the only thing I don't like and I think you may not either because you had the 8125 is the updating steps. A real pain if you ask me. No like the 8125 at all. You can't just start the RUU you have to go into the boot-loader and install from there. If you do it follow the steps on Samsungs website or even under support on ATT.

True. It should. What I got from his message though was it may have come from a secondary source.. perhaps eBay, etc... That's why it had a second battery. We got our Blackjacks in today, and they do indeed have wall chargers.

I understand where you are coming from but the BJ has always come with the extra battery and the newer ATT versions are coming with the extended battery which I must say is very nice and it doesn't make much of a size difference if you use it from the start. I haven't tried the standard batter yet but I think the life of the extended is very comparable to other smart phones.
*Side Note*
For anyone looking for a good case for the BJ I would suggest the on ATT sells for the Treo. My store didn't have the BJ one when I bought mine and the rep tried the Treo case and the BJ fits better in it than it does in it's own case.
