I was wondering. whats the age limit for working in a cingular OPPS att store. Im 16 and looking to get a job and i can tell you I know more about phones and technology than any one person working at my local att stores. the closest store has..lets see. THe middle age cranky mexican lady who barely speaks english. Theres the old guy who dosnt know much about anything cell phone related. And then theres the 20 something year old guy who just talks on his cell phone the entire time. I was at Sams Club the other weekend with my grandmother helping her get a phone for sprint and the Rep. there offered me a job on the spot. But you have to be 18 to work there.

Most stores are going to want someone 18 and out of school. Training a new rep (even an educated one) does take time just because of all the courses you have to go through. You may know all the answers, but you still have to take the tests. Once you're really on a roll, we'd have to let you go so you could go back to school.

It's kinda like having a cell phone, buying beer, that kind of thing. You have to be a certain age to buy, you have to be a certain age to sell. Generally.

There are also significant child labor laws that employers must deal with for folks under 18. Makes the amount of hours available usual not worth our time. If I have to let someone leave right at 9 PM and they cannot work more than 4 hours per day I have no shifts for that type of availability.

Don't worry with the turn over at wireless stores You will get a job sooner rather then later
