Razr V3 gone, V551 gone, V180 long gone
I complained about the Moto V180 being pulled off the Cingular web site weeks ago ( it had been on the site for weeks) and I only got one or two replies (probably a mistake, etc.) Of course no one cares about the V180. Now that they have done the same thing with the Razr V3 and V551 everyone is going bonkers.
So now Cingular is in the cell phone shell game business (do you see it now? How about now? No we don't carry it- it's not on the web site).
You have to take screen shots of their web site every day to prove you're not crazy.
It also bothers me that the V180 was designed as a quad-band phone and was being sold as such by AWS. If you bought it from Cingular or T-Mo then it was only tri-band. So if you were an AWS customer and you ...

i have no idea about the razr...i am pretty sure we can't order those yet.
I know our store has ordered v551's, and I had one in my hands today from the moto learn to earn contest...
as to your question/statement about the v180 from aws...no, cingular will not be "flashing" your quad band v180 and making it tri band. They won't be flashing the phone at all. They'll say either keep it or they will offer you another phone w/ discount etc.
cingular will not be reprogramming ANY of the aws phones. period.

Well you seem to know something about what Cingular will or won't do. Can you address the question of why phones appear and then disappear and then (sometimes) reappear on the web site?
For example the V180 seems to be gone from the web site in my area (70124). A rep in the Cingular store told me a few weeks ago that it hadn't been decided whether we'll carry that model. At that time it WAS on Cingular's web site. It has not been on the web site for weeks now. Has Cingular dropped it? Did they just take it off the web site?
The deal with the Razr and the V501 appearing and then disappearing seems to be an ongoing trend!

RAZR's should be in the store by next week. i just heard they were approved for sale.
