How does the FAN discount on equipment work? If someone works for the Postal Service, they can just come in, and if they have that FAN on their account, but a phone for half off full retail no questions asked?
Thanks

Retail stores, corporate & authorized dealers, are under no obligation to honor FAN pricing, which is just as well since all but a few corporate stores have access to ECPV anyway.
If a customer comes in asking about how to get their fan discount applied, refer them back to the Premier site, which will be accessible from their work email or company intranet. It's up to you if you can/will honor the phone discounts, though.

I'm sorry, I don't really understand the wording to that answer... Are you're saying NO ONE is obligated to honor FAN pricing on equipment? Which is just as well, because most corporate stores have access to ECPV?
I'm not concerned about applying FAN's, as I can do that, I just want to know what needs to be done if a customer who already has a FAN on their account needs to do to replace equipment with that discount.

my coworkers b/f is in the military and has a FAN thru them and she has a number she has to call to get the phones with her discount. Unfortunately, their retail pricing is SKY HIGH!! For instance, she called about getting a blackjack and the retail price they quoted her was $550 so with her discount there it was cheaper for her to buy it thru our store with the rebate.

They'll either have a rep for their company who gets their phones for them, or they'll need to order off of the internet.
ECPV is available to anyone with CSP, and I always look it up to see if I can make them a deal. It's not always possible, but I still try. Usually discounts are off of the retail price, but I have seen some setup for renewal discounts as well.

If you're outside a BMG/BCS/NBS sales channel, you're under no obligation to honor that pricing. And for most locations, when it comes to monthly discounts, you can't add the discount anyway. That's a nice thing about the stores, is you have flexibility to make/alter/honor almost any offer you like based on the customer. Well, I dunno exactly how that works, but y'all do. 🙂

FAN discounts are done with new 2 year commitments. COR stores will honor that discount if eligible to upgrade. Usually the upgrade price is better as the discount comes off the retail price. If you have access to premier pricing on the web take it. COR usually cannot match that.
