Incorrect. You can do an exception upgrade which would essentially cancel your current 2 year contract, and you'd sign a new one. So in reality you're only adding 10 months on to your current contract. This will get you the 1-year pricing on the phone, which will save you about $75 off the retail price (although it's about $75 more than the 2 year prices you see advertised everywhere).

Are you sure about that cause i thought when they rolled out the new upgrade policy they did away with exception upgrades even if they still had them you had to meet certain requirements to be eligible to get one. I know in my market we dont even have 1 year pricing as we dont offer one year contracts anymore.

I think direct stores still might be able to do things us indirects can't. I had a customer who said that a COR store would give him 2 year pricing even though he wasn't eligible for an upgrade till december if he signed up for a media max package. I wish I could do it too!
