So after deciding over the bb curve and the blackjack i decided to go with the blackjack. A.)it was cheaper B.) it just seems better for my needs. Any way Cingular made me sign up for the 39,99 pda unlimited plan in order to get the phone for 75$$. When the phone comes and I have to call to activate it I'm going to ask to switch to the media net plan..wish me luck. Anyway my questions

+does this phone have aol instant messenger? and if it does..does it use the internet or take away from text messages? I would hope internet as AIM convos. can go on for hours.

+Do videos need to be converted or do they just play on the windows media player 10?

+this phone will work with windows vista right?

+Say I'm on myspace..can I upload picture...

It takes Micro SD cards, IM's are taken from your texts, that's all I know for now.

Yes it will use instant messanger and yes it uses text not internet so get unlimited text.

The videos do need to be converted to at least wmv format.

It will work with vista but your gonna have to download some patches.

You cant upload photos the phone and myspace wont handle it.

yes it uses a micro sd card not a regular sd card.

Honestly i would of went with the curve

I would have chosen the Blackjack. The Curve looks like what happens when the Treo & Pearl have a baby.

oh lord what did I get myself into!

is there any down loadable im client that uses the internet opposed to texts..the plan I have now comes with 1500 texts but still i would rather use the internet.

as for uploading pics to myspace I checked att's website last night and for like 3 dollars a month you can get myspace mobile and i think upload pics.

as for connecting my phone to my vista computer alls I would be doing is uploading music or pictures so would the patches still be needed?

well I have 30 days to decide to switch to the curve or not. we will see tomorrow when it comes (hopefully)

There's a program for WM5 called Agile Messenger that uses data instead of text for IM and it supports AIM, Yahoo, ICQ and a few others.

By the way you will not be able to switch to a media bundle you will have to stay with the 39.99/mon pda plan. Now if you switch to the Curvie you will only pay 29.99/mon for unlimited usage. media net is only for regular phones not smartphones, pdas or blackberries. If you try to switch, you won't have internet AND I assume part of the deal was a 100 mail in rebate. you wont get that if you remove the $39.99 plan.
Blackberries are better anyway
