Roaming question
if i live in an area that is in the "partner coverage," can i still use att without any problems, because on the coverage map it says "over usage of partner coverage may result in early termination."
thanx

then i think that will happen, its not wise to use at&t where they dont have native coverage, because they will cut you off, it costs them a lot of money to let pple roam for "free"

Another thing I've been seeing lately is people who are roaming a lot... but AT&T keeps them yet takes away their upgrade elgibility. I'm not a fan of this mainly because in areas that are going 3G... the older sim cards sometimes revert to roam for some reason. A new 3G sim seems to fix the problems though. This is something I think more and more stores will be dealing with here soon.

Viper,
You are correct - with the new AT&T upgrade system customers could potentially lose their 18month upgrade due to frequent and/or excessive off network roaming. You can also lose the upgrade because of too many non-pay disconnects.
I actually had a customer who was out of contract, however ineligible for an upgrade (he didn't pay his bill on time). I could understand if you would lose your upgrade prior to your contract ending - but come on! he's out of contract and he still can't upgrade? that's an easy way to lose customers. Besides.. he did eventually end up paying his bill... and i'm sure he payed his fair share of $36 reconnect fees. Needless to say, I'm not a huge fan of the new upgrade system.
It's not all bad ...

That one kinda surprises me. I read that once they are out of contract we cannot legally allow them to not sign another one. The only thing they could do was make him pay a deposit on resigning but if they are out we can't stop them from upgrading.
