Smartphone or not?

I was told by a COR store rep that the N75 isn't a Smartphone. Is this true?

correct, it's considered a regular phone, just like the 6682 was.

Then why does Phone Scoop list them both as Smartphones?

cus nokia lists them as smartphones. What the manufacturer lists them as doesn't determine what rate plan they should be on. That's up to att.

If Nokia considers them Smartphones, then shouldn't everyone else?

It IS a smartphone, but it doesn't need the smartphone media package. att considers it a phone so they're allowed to use the MEdia Net packages.

Treos and Blackberrys are smartphones too, but they need different data packages.

it isn't considered a smartphone because you can get a media net package on it. they are doing away with smarthpone plans.
