iPhone, dissapointment so far

So far reading the specs I'm highly dissapointed. The phones internet speeds aren't even 3G. What's up with that? Steve Jobs has a lot of work to do integrating his OS to make this work. I just can't believe how slow the iPhone is browsing the internet!!! I'm also not that impressed with the music capabilities. Why is it that Verizon is capable of so much over the air on their network and Cingular/ATT can't even accomplish that. The only way you can get itunes is to sync it to your phone via usb cable (not compatible with previous iPods (talk about nickel and diming me). I hope the rest of the features make up for these flaws!

also, att is capable of doing it, they chose not to... it's easier to sync and get it that way than have to worry about customers challenging the charges. so that saves you.HAHAHAHAHAHA ARE YOU KIDDING ME, THE IPHONE CAN'T DOWNLOAD THE SONGS OVER THE AIR THE NETOWRK IT WILL BE ON IS TOO SLOW!!HAHA HOW CAN YOU EVEN SAY THEY WANT TO SAVE US MONEY--THEY AR IN THE BUSINES BELIVE IT OR NOT OF MAKING MONEY!!! I KNOW YOU THINK IT'S ALL PEACHES AND ROSES AND THEY WANT TO OFFER GOOD PHONE SERVICE AND GREAT PHONES SO WE WILL FEEL GOOD ABOUT OURSELVES, BUT THEY WANT MONEY AND WHY WOULD THEY NOT ADD SOMETHING IF THEY COULD, THAT WOULD MAKE THEM MONEY!! THEY WOULD HAVE ADDED THE OTA DOWNLOAD IF THEY COULD HAVE OFFERD IT! ALSO IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU HAVE NEV...

Hmm... when was the last time an iPod could sync with anything other than a USB cable? Oh yeah... it's been a few years since FireWire iPods were made. Welcome to yesterday. 🙄

Previous iPods were able to use USB. Only some of the original iPods were firewire only. My 2004 B&W 4G 40GB iPod uses both so still USB capable. All 5G and 1&2G Nanos are USB only. So is my iTunes enabled V3i.

When kind of syncing do you want?

I think he wanted to be able to download OTA instead of having to sync with a computer...

I dont get it, why cant the iphone buy from itunes and download directly to the phone?

really easy answer is that the phone probably can. but with the horribly slow edge network it would be like downoading on a 56k modem. att and their gsm network cant handle having a channel tied up for 25 mins or longer to download a song.

Troll, go back to your forum. I downloaded many songs using Symella on my 6682 using the "horribly slow EDGE network".

You are clueless, but I expect that from VZW fanboys.
