Is there hope? (for cor employees only)

I made a comment on the last thread about looking for a new job because of the commission cuts along with the consistent charge backs I get every month thanks to at&t's ever-changing feature packages. Does anyone have any inside info about this changing anytime soon? Is there any hope in the future for us?

The other day my arsm was in the store and we were listening to a conference call about the iPhone which basically said that if you sign a two year agreement you are allowed to get one regardless of how much time is left in your agreement. My first question was whether or not the original rep would get charged back on the first upgrade seeing as anyone who wants an iPhone can renew the contract and she said "yes". She the told me ...

You'd probably get a better response in Shop Talk. I'm not COR.

As an agent, I would say, remind them of the 6 month agreement most agents have. If they make it passed the six months then there is no charge back. It is some bs that you would be charged back on an exception upgrade. 😕

I think your ARSM made a mistake. With only 50 per store at launch, the focus will be gross ads and not upgrades. I don't see exception upgrades being made at product launch. (although, i am usually wrong anyways)

Okay- coming from a previous COR employee- No I do not see things getting any better. I stayed there for just under 8 years, each year making less than the previous hoping that it will change and it never did. I worked hard and made my numbers, hit my Data rates and my accessories rates. But there was no way I was going to continue to make the money that I did before. I jumped ship- so to say- to something that I think is a much better career path in my mind now that I have finally done it. If you have anymore questions or anything just hit me back up and I can give you some more information. Oh and to the above posted message I would say I would not put it past at&t to allow the exception upgrades and run out of the phones on existing...

Your rep has no clue and answered that question based on nothing but ignorance.

Approving a customer for an iPhone if they already upgraded in the last 6 months will NOT affect the upgrade and/or new act you setup (although you COULD be charged back for any potential feature changes).

The reasons for chargeback in the agent agreement are pretty cut and dry. Basically unless they cancel service you keep the commission.

I used to work for the company back in the good old at&t wireless days fro 2002 all the way till 2006. I quit to change carrer paths because the money wasn't getting any better but came back in Jan. 2007. When I came back I told myself it was going to be for good and try to move up in the company. The first month back i made a decent check but on my second month I got a call back from a competitor that i had applied for the same time i applied back at then cingular. they offered me the job the same day of my interview and I comtimplated it for a few weeks. When the commission structure changed, that was the straw that broke the camels back. I accepted the position at a corporate kiosk and this month is my first real month on there commission...
