iphone data plan dubbed the iplan

No, we're not kidding. Although iPlan might simply be used internally to refer to the Apple iPhone data plan, this streak of info came from a pretty high up source of ours, and it looks to be accurate. The iPhone data plan will be around $34.99-$44.99 and feature unlimited data, and either 2000 text messages, or unlimited text messages (we still have not confirmed which, but unlimited text messages would be awesome). For anyone trying to snuff the FedEx driver on his way in to deliver the iPhones, be prepared, because all FedEx drivers are said to be assigned, and delivering to stores in teams. That's insane. $34 maybe but $44 for unlimited EDGE data?! The PDA data plan runs that high but at least you get a subsidized phone. I was expecting something along the lines of the smart phone plans, at least until the iPhone supports 3G speeds in the next revision. 👿

Why does that surprise you? The other phones aren't subsidized for their features. I think its odd that we have an Iplan though. Why not tack it on with the PDA connect? Even phones that ran edge were $39.99, like the 8125 for instance. Iphones had better step it up to BB service level if they want to validate a separate feature for their product...

Ah, that would make sense. I was hopeing for an Iphone messenger, OTA updates, maybe a special Itunes interface. I guess they do have the Utube thing though.
