Does anyone know where I can check to see if EDGE is available in my area (Bowling Green, KY)? I have a V551 coming and I was just curious. 😉 Thanks!

Good gracious. It looks like Kentucky as more EDGE area than any other state. It is all red, just like it was election day. 👿

The new Cingular will likely be making a big push of EDGE phones, now that they're ready to offer a wide array of phones to their new pool of customers, ready to access the existing EDGE network that was mainly occupying AT&T's network.

The next big endeavor, upgrading GSM in the summer of 2005. We will be seeing WCDMA and GSM capable phones making an appearance in the spring of '05, with a major push on all-WCDMA models at about the middle to end of next year.

If you are covered by EDGE now, you will have access to the latest and greatest in the future too from Cingular.
