Will UMTS have better sound quality than GSM
I just want to know if UMTS will have better sound quality than gsm or is UMTS only for data transfer? In my opinion, CDMA is the clearest for voice calls but i also like GSM.

UTMS is layered on top of GSM for Data Only. GSM and CDMA have comparable sound quality, with GSM taking the lead in some cases, but CDMA is more efficient on spectrum.

that's only the current usage. UMTS will also be used for voice. especially when HSDPA is implemented.

when will hspda be released for cingular then. because i have seen on this forum that it is going to be released in early 2005. will hspda follow shortly after?
