I am glad I found this website - chock full of info! I recently decided to switch from Sprint (too expensive) to Cingular. However, I think I screwed up because I placed my order on Friday.
Should I try to cancel the order or send it back when I get it? From the sounds of it, I should have waited to see what the next two weeks or so bring.
FYI - I was torn between the Moto V400, LG L1400, and the Samsung e317 (really wanted the Nokia 6230 but cannot afford the 200 up front right now). Anyway - I chose the LG and from the reviews I have read on this site and other I did make a good choice.

hi
...
The LG's a really nice phone, so unless you're willing to fork out a few hundred more for some Motorola phones I'd just stick to what you've ordered.

lg is not reliable i have calls so often about problems with lg phones i would not urchase one π

That may have been true in the past, but this is supposed to be a good phone. I have read multiple reviews (something I always do before buying anything) and they have all been great. It does have some problems, but nothing major that I could find.

Thanks for the adviceπ Phones do work differently on different networks. I am going to give it a shot and see how it works. I have 15 days to play around and can return it if the reception is really that bad.

np i hope that your phone works great for you

Thanks. I really can't afford to spend more than about 150 right now. I did manage to get my hands on a live LG at Best Buy over the weekend and have to admit I was pretty impressed with the display.
I just can't wait to get the phone now. Looking forward to lower phone bills and cooler phones!! Just hope I get good coverage, we shall see π

Try and find out if you got a 64k SIM. If you got one then don't worry about it. If you did not get one then return the phone and wait untill the 64k SIM's come out. You'll be much happier and it will only take a week or two.

Thanks! Now - not to sound too ignorant, but how would I know? Should I just call and ask? Not sure if I can call either since the phone is in my husbands name (my credit sucks). And as for trying to get him to call and ask...well he procrastinates soooo much that he** will freeze over first!! π€£

I wouldn't return a phone just for the 64K SIM. If it doesn't come with one and you decide you really want one then you can purchase one at cost for $24.99. Some stores may even be nice enough to swap it out with yours.
You can tell if it's 64K by appearance. The 64K has one side green and the other half orange and half white. The 32K is white on one side and orange on the other. It also has 32K or 64K written on it. (I'm looking at both of them as I type this)

Thanks again. You guys have been very helpful!
I should have figured that it would be as simple as having 34k or 64k printed on it. π€ I am a total newbie to the sim card world!
Thanks again. I guess more than anything I just wanted to know that I made the right decision and it sounds like I did. I do have a tendency to just jump into things - especially if it involves new gadgets to play with.
