I’m pleased to report that today AT&T reached an agreement to acquire Dobson Communications Corporation. They are a provider of rural and suburban wireless communications services.
This acquisition will enhance AT&T’s wireless network coverage in the United States. Dobson is no stranger to us. They market wireless service under the Cellular One brand and have provided roaming service since virtually the beginning of wireless. Our combination will help us deliver a better customer experience to AT&T's wireless customers, which will soon include Dobson’s 1.7 million subscribers.
