SAN ANTONIO, June 29, 2007 — Underscoring its interest in serving the rural market, AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) announced today that it will acquire Dobson Communications Corporation (Nasdaq😁CEL), a provider of rural and suburban wireless communications services, for approximately $2.8 billion in cash.
