Does the iphone get live TV like some of the phones on Sprint and Vzn, if not is it because at&t does not have HSUPA deployed on a nation scale like EV DO on Sprint and Vzn?

The iPhone does not have live TV because it does not have the aps to peform that function.

Other AT&T products offer MobiTV that offers live broadcasts of TV programs. They have been offering that for quite a while and it works great on EDGE (which is TRULY nationwide) and even better on 3G.

And HSUPA would not help TV. The biggest upgrade there would be UPLOAD speeds.

BTW, Sprint and VZ do not have theirs deployed on a nationwide scale either. Their nationwide network is much slower overall than EDGE. Major metro areas only with theirs as well (yes they do have more than AT&T but it is not nationwide, just to clarify).

From my understanding, you are allowed to get MobiTV, which mirrors most of Sprint TV channels. I use to watch Orb and Mobi TV on my old Sanyo 5600 (non Ev-DO). Streamed just fine.

Suprisingly Mobitv works well on Razors too.

I liked it better than the new CV.

Most of the Mobi features are pretty cool. Mobiradio for instance makes any phone a music player.
