att reps ..wow.

SO in attempting to exchange my samsung blackjack for a blackberry curve..the first woman I spoke to was clueless. first she didnt know what a blackberry was. she put me on hold for 5 minutes to see what a blackberry was. When she came back she asked weather i wanted the curve in black or red. Black or red?? Hun. the curve is silver. Next. she tried to tell me I couldn't buy a new phone until I returned the samsung blackjack. When they received the blackjack. then I could call back and order my curve. Umm no thats not how that works. I didnt like her so I hung up. (she then called my cellphone about 4 times and left voice mails) after i had just told her i cant receive calls and it goes right to voice mail. The next guy whom I spoke to said...

i am one of the few reps who does her, job and learns the products, like my dad also told me u may hate your job but u might as well be the best to hate it.

well i wish i could deal with you. I cant believe out of 3 reps. none of them knew what they were talking about. the cingular reps never used to be that bad they always used to have some idea of what they were talking about. I hate to complain..but to not even know what a blackberry is..come on now

yea i don't know either. Did they switch out alot of there reps because back when it was just plain cingular..the reps all spoke english and were so helpful. and now your lucky if your rep barely speaks english.

and do you have any information on what the actual pricing is on the blackberry curve? i want to pay 199.99 w/o any mi rebates. i don't have a problem with signing up for a data plan but no mail in rebates. When i got my black jack it was 75 bucks. no mail in rebates no nothing.

Or the heat,...right now it's 115!!! The record set back in '05 was 117.

By the way, I know you work for ATT, you don't happen to know when the Sierra Wireless 880 aircard is coming out do'ya, it can't be too, too much longer, the Cingular 875 aircard has been out for about a year now.

I really want that Sierra Wireless 880!!!
I'd appreciate it so, so, so much if you could find out,...pleeeeease.

Actually, I wasn't speaking of a phone, I'm inquiring about a Broadband Connect card, the Sierra Wireless 880. It's suppose to be the next one up from the 875, and is HSUPA capable, and 7.2 HSDPA capable, that is what I'm inquiring about.

i know what i am talking about and yes i am cute i love hello kitty, thats my girl. and being 17 i got alot of cute years ahead of me. that info came from sierra when i called them about my card for my laptop. =^.^= its time for kitty to leave and have her self a cat nap. meow

Dude,

They didn't magically change to different reps overnight. This is basically the same company it was a few months ago.

Where exactly did you buy the phone? Who did you call? If a rep doesn't know what a Blackberry is that is sad but highly unlikely.

Curious to know more info about your experience.

I called 18008887600 and ordered the phone.

When I ordered my blackjack there wasnt any problems. Suddenly today noone knows anything.

you honestly had to hear the first lady i spoke to to believe me. She sounded like a valley girl on crack who had no clue about anything cellular related.

Maybe it would just be easier to just go to a local store, preferably one that is corporate, not franchise! Corporate can help more than franchise stores. Plus your dealing with people in person, they can talk to other reps, and MAKE THINGS HAPPEN.

So give a local store a try.

Other than the "corporate vs. franchise" (actually we are called dealers) I would recommend the same thing.

Funny but I am not aware of all the extras you can provide.

Let's see, we can offer:

Insurance on all phones sold backed by Lloyd's of London.

Memory Exchange devices that also transfer pics, texts, videos and ringtones.

Access to special order accessories from all manufacturers

That is just to name a few. You can also do some things we cannot, like access outside markets.

Make sure you get your facts straight before making statements along those lines.

First of all, I never claimed to work for a corporate store.

It just seems to me as though corporate stores are able to satisfy customers better, secondly, don't corporate stores get the newer phones first???

Other than the iPhone no they do not. I have had several phones in stock BEFORE they had theirs. Depends on the distribution chain. The majority of the time they are released at the same tim eto all channels.

Whether you work for them or not it is important to get the facts straight.

anyway. I finally got my phone ordered. of course by a clueless rep who most likely billed me for 5 phones. but regardless its ordered. my curve should arrive monday or tuesday..cant wait. I couldn't tell if the rep said the phone was 199.99 or 299.99 with a mail in rebate? i don't know I'm just glad after a day of at least 10 phone calls its ordered. when the bill comes I'll worry about all that fun stuff then. I was told by one of the reps that it was 199.99 flat out and thats what I'm stick to so if i see 299.99 on my bill there getting another phone call.

monday at noon: you're most likely to get official AT&T reps. AT&T hired a third party call center to help deal with the iPhone. Those are the reps that have no idea what a blackberry is. Those are the ones dropping the ball.
