You Cingular/ATT reps sure do cry about your customers alot! Send them over to Verizon!

I usually just stay on the Verizon forum but I decided to pop in here to see what was up. I have noticed how much more "ranting" about customers you guys do here on this forum than we do over at the Verizon forum. I don't actually recall any ranting on the Verizon forum. Meanwhile, like every third new thread here is a complaint about customers. Maybe that is a symbol of why Verizon is dominating the market. We were actually the biggest till the ATT/Cingular merge. And we're about to even surpass the merged company as well! Like I say, ATT reps, keep sending them over to Verizon! We'll take care of all the customers you don't want to put up with!

Dude, our customers do the same stuff, they complain about the exact same things, and guess what? I hate them just as much.

Its not "ATT" or "Verizon" that is making the reps hate the customers, its the whiney customers bitching about the $99 that they have to pay for a top of the line phone, 8 years ago, heck, even 3 years ago it wasnt this bad, people are getting spoiled, and guess what? Its the carriers fault.

Subsidizing phones was the worst thing that could have happened to the cellular industry.

Um, Verizon is the product of several mergers.

And we're about to even surpass the merged company as well!

Half a million iPhones sold in one weekend makes that a doubtful prediction. (Yes, I know that some of those were already at&t customers, but a large number were not.)

We can even suppose that the half a million were all completely new.....that's still not gonna stop Verizon's inevitable surpassing of ATT as largest carrier in the US. The iPhone postponed that inevitability maybe a couple months.

My guess is that you're just a local rep. Maybe a corp. rep.

What do you care if your VZW becomes # one in a few months...(says you, by the way. I doubt that'll happen.) You'll still get paid the same. You won't sell more phones than you do now.

So, why should you care? Go read your new hire magazine and bash other carriers on your own time, in your own board.

I'm not even an ATT rep. I just hate all these VZW reps that think they're so high and mighty.

Yep. VZW reps are evil. They're like "Give me money, and be on your merry way!". I won't deal with any company that jerks me around like that!!

Why are the VZW reps so ****y? Do they get trained that way?

You're the largest CDMA network. Congradulations.

Also, go cripple some more phone features.

Ah yes, I was wondering when the "customers are your job" would be trotted out. My question to you sir, is at what point does a customer "cross the line"? How much abuse must any of us take from a loud-mouthed idiot before we can react? I'm not talking about the crap that is generated from corporate policy or miscommunication. No, I think we are all complaining about those few folks (less than one percent) who think that throwing a temper-tantrum is such fun.

Many years ago I worked retail and during one Christmas season had a guy come in just before closing to look at some speakers. They were on sale and he was thinking about putting them on lay-a-way. Finially it's Christmas eve and he come in one minute before closing. I end up spendi...

I do not know!
Maybe you can blame the first person who said the customer is always right. Or that can be misconscrewed as corporate policy or miscommunication. And you would not want to do that.
It is just that ever since I have found out about phone scoop, I have been reading it mostly to find out about phones. But it seems a fourm for everything but!
I find on here people who just want to bash everyone and everything, and I thought this was a fourm about phones.
I mean, you are not the only one who has a hard time at their job, But at the same time I am also in the service bussines, and I understand that sometimes a simple thank you is sometimes refreshing and worth while.
My point if you have to sew or have to have a class action la...
