ok I got the blackberry curve today, I love it except for one MAJOR problem... every time I make or receive a call, or try to go on the internet, the phone just restarts. I was in the middle of a call and it just restarted every time I tried to reconnect. And now every time im on the internet it restarts. after paying 317 bucks for this thing I'm extremely frustrated. has anyone else had this problem??
...
I would take it back and exchange it, have not heard of that problem at all, obviously is defective.
...
i was just looking in the curve form and there were actually numerous other people who had the same problem. how ridiculous you spend all that money. and to what; get a defective phone?? wow.
...
Wow, I honestly can say I have never run into that problem here, hmmm, I still would exchange it and see how the new one works out for you. That sucks man, I'm sorry. ☹️
...
yea im sorry too.
I'm thinking about returning it for good. after getting screwed on the blackjack that never worked and now the blackberry that dosnt work.. I'm thinking about getting my money back and going back to my se w810. at least that phone never gave me these problems
...
Ever thought about an 8525 or one of the Treos?
...
well im certainly not putting out 300 for a 8525 plus, its huge. and ive heard nothing but bad reviews from treos. plus I just don't like treos. I dont know. maybe I should go back to a regular phone and pick up a n75. I'm going to call cingular today and ask whats going on with this. I'm not getting off the phone until they do something for me, because after 2 defective phones, there not showing me any reasons why I shouldn't move to another service provider. aside from the phones being defective, the customer reps ive delt with were horrible I could go on and on but let me stop.
...
I have never had that problem with any Curve I've sold. I've never seen it on any of my friend's that have one. It's never happened to mine, and RIM hasn't even mentioned it.
The phone is solid, but you probably have a defective one. You can try updating your OS before returning it or exchanging it if you feel inclined too. The great thing about PDAs is the user can fix most of the OS problems without needing an exchange.
...
how to you go about updating the os? I did it to my blackjack but samsung had detailed instructions on there site on how to do so
...
Go to cingular or att's website and then click on support. Select your device, and then there should be software downloads on the lower right corner. Download it, run it, then sync up your BB. If it's still doing it after you have the latest OS then something's wrong internally.
Honestly, I haven't seen a problem with these devices.
