HULLO 😁

On AT&T I use the #121 on a regular basis for the weather,
it beats having to sit through a bunch of chatter on TV.

Will this still be offered?
RIght now if I use it after 9pm it's on free time but it wouldn't shock me if Cingular decides to make this a paid subscription of some type.

Of course you can also get sports scores etc.

AT&T Wireless charges $1.50/call plus airtime. So you pay $1.50 no matter what. if its during your plans N&W, then the airtime part falls under that. Cingular is/will be $1.29/call (plus airtime too I assume)

I've never payed for it, except for air time.

I just did a triple check via my bill.

During the day it is listed as included min and after 9pm
is listed as nights and weekends.

There was no charge for either, I remember when I first got the service via AT&T it was listed as part of it,

Of course your probebly talking about Cingular, which is another reason for me NOT to migrate, although I seldom use #121.

well the charge they're talking aboutis for "411" not that thingy you're talking about..I don't know if cingular has/will have it. Well we have Voice Connect where you dial *08 and get all that stuff, but I believe there's a monthly fee. eww.

No AWS does not charge anything for #121 voice info. the 1.50 is our 411 or directory assitance calls but #121 is a automated information system. I really hope Cingular keeps it as it's a really cool system for those who know about it. It's not very widely known.

Ok, so I'm a dolt. The guy was asking about #121 and I answered about 411. Men just weren't made for multi-tasking (was taking Care calls when I answered it, lol)

#121 is voice assisted info (i.e. weather, traffic, horoscopes, wake up calls) which is similar to Cingular's voice connect but with one difference. To use the info service with Cingular, you have to sign up for vice dialing. AT&T, you can just use the #121 for just the normal air time charge.

almost true the #121 is a feature you are charged $3.99 per month. first month free. otherwise it is a voice activated dialing,news sports weather etc.....similar to cingualr voice connect.

#121 is free and will just use airtime, it is available if you are on the ATTWS network. #121 voicedial is a seperate feature which is $3.99 per month. Every custoemr has excess to the #121 voice info but not very many know that it is available. THE ONLY CHARGE FOR #121 VOICE INFO IS APLLICABLE AIRTIME CHARGES.

😁 #121 is free for the information. It only has a monthly recurring charge if you do want to use Voice dialing. Cingular's is just 4.99 regardless.

No Cingular will not support this feature... The only text enabled feature Cingular will adapt from ATTWS will be TEXT 411... There is a good reason for this however. With our MEdia Net services you can access sports, weather, news, horoscopes, etc... At a cheaper rate than the txt msg features through ATTWS. Pay-per-Use is only .01/KB and our Data Packages are the best rates in the industry.

This is not exacly a text enabled feature. It is a voice activated information system. you call #121 and you can get information on everything from sport scores to stock quotes and in some areas you can get traffic reports. Some information and be txt messaged to you but it's mostly a voice system.

There's something similar thru Voice Connect, but it's 5 bucks a month...
