Oh. We were under the impression that Cingular always has had north america plans. With AWS it was the same number of minutes as the national plans but you had to pay an extra 9.99 per line.

I'm talking about the new plans??

(being that there are many AT&T customers with the $9.99 add-on plan (which includes M2M while in the USA, and is family plan compatible) and Cingular wants them to upgrade, to a similar plan... I was under the impresion, that Cingular would do something like AT&T...)

Actually, as of last 11/04 the mobile to mobile feature for attws customers, the mobile to mobile service area is the same as the customers home calling area and also includes calls to and from cingular customers.

No. Both parties do not have to be in their HCA. The only thing you have to worry about is if YOU are in your HCA. If YOU are in your HCA and calling an AWS or Cingular phone then you will use MTM minutes. If they are roaming then they will get charged roaming minutes not MTM but you will still get MTM. It has been like this for about a year. It clearly outlines this in KMS and spells it out. A year ago it was screwed up like the person recieving had to be in their MTM area but the persons sending did not or some such but it is nolonger like that.

you missed my point, I was talking about "North America Plans" on which AT&T since it was only a $9.99 add-on so you could still have your regular plan with M2M (including family)
while at Cingular North America is a plan of its own,
BUT I HEARD THAT CINGULAR MIGHT MAKE SOMETHING LIKE THAT........

These plans can not be family talked, no M2M, and no 7pm nights option. If Cingular does make changes to this plan, it will be effective 12-26-04.

which means, anybody who now has a AT&T national plan and paying the extra $9.99 for north america, will not even think of upgrading to Cingular Orange...

Nope. It will cost them an extra $20...But then again those who use their phone in Mexico will jump onto the bandwagon because they north america plan covers Mexico and with AWS if you get the 4.99 Mexico roaming it costs you .69/min

Since when? It has never covered Mexico. It was just a cheaper add-on like the Canada Calling package on TDMA DOR plans.

As of nov 15,2004 those features in siebel are being removed aka north america feature

Also i talked to a TSD rep , they were advising that they were advised that within 30- 60 days rate plans were being removed out of the att siebel catalog, as to prevent reps from attempting to change a customer plans and adding expired promotions, which would come off with 30 days, things are getting very serious now!!!
