Southern Michigan (not southern California)

Does anyone know when Cingular's southern MI GSM coverage is going to be turned on? I know it will be before the new year, but does anyone have an insider tip on a specific date?

GSM has been on since last October in the Detroit Metro market. Don't know what other area you may be thinking about.

I know that, I live and sell Cingular in the Detroit market. I'm talking about the rest of southern MI. Places like Kalamazoo along the I-94 corridor.

Then you know that Cingular only has spectrum in Flint, Ann Arbor and the Detroit markets. They have no other spectrum in MI.
The area you reference is served by ATTWS or T-Mobile GSM on my 6340i. What used to served by Centennial TDMA West from the Wayne county line is now ATTWS GSM all the way to the Chicago market Cingular service.

I know where Cingular's spectrum is, but I didn't think that coverage from ATTW was available yet. It's still marked as future coverage.
Are an agent in Detroit?

Just a very knowledgeable customer who stays in field test mode most of the time on my Nokia 6340i. I actually started picking up ATTWS GSM last spring in Toledo, OH the Saturday before the announcement and the new IRDB download. You can't always trust the 'future' listings as they may already be installed and turned on, but not officially announced. About 4 years ago I was in Ripon, CA just North of Modesto and the Sprint PCS system was on and unusable, but it wasn't announced for about 2 months.

I meant to say that the Sprint PCS system was usable.
