Prepaid and 3G Phones

It has come to my attention that agents apparently do not know that 3G phones are NOT supported by prepaid accounts. I have at least one call a day from a prepaid customer who bought a 3G phone at full price and wants to activate it on a prepaid account. You CANNOT do that. True, you can put your SIM card into the phone and it will work, but not for long. We cannot put a 3G IMEI on a prepaid account. Thus, the phone does not get the proper updates and it will stop working eventually. I have seen this happen. And it is not just agents doing this. Warranty exchange is sending prepaid customers the LG CU500 to replace the Motorola RAZR V3 if they have had numerous exchanges and it is still not working.
