So I don't have to deal with verizon's proration crap.
If the RAZR 2 will come out by then I'll be very happy. π
...
Proration crap? All companies have prorations.
...
yes but this way I don't have to pay 1.2 bills. I'd just rather get it out of the way and not worry about it.
...
I've never had a verizon rep actually tell me to go for a cheaper phone versus a more expensive phone.
I was debating between the KRZR and V3xx since the RAZR 2 doesn't look like it's coming out for a good while, and the girl actually told me to go for the V3xx.
I'm shocked.
...
I would be more impressed if she told you stay clear of MOTO's. Like the verizon rep did about 7 months ago when I tried them out!!!
...
Oh well verizon's UI cripples motorola phones more than their other brands. Moto is much much better on AT&T
...
you are right. But I hate motos. They have way too maney problems regardless of the network. I would stick with ericson phone they seem to work best from what I get from my buddies that have att!
...
Meh, it still looks pretty. π
...
lol you just reminded me of someone!!!
...
Wombough, the V3xx is one of the best performing phones in AT&T's current lineup. Have you ever used the phone? It is truly a completely different device than Motos of the past as far as quality goes...and is leaps and bounds more reliable inside and out.
...
hey its your story tell it how you want. But I guess the GSM version is nothing like the CDMA one which is only good for looking at!
...
You're absolutely right. The GSM version is nothing like the CDMA version. It actually works as intended. But it's nice to look at too. π
...
Really? When I had Verizon, it seemed that Motorolas were the least crippled. The Q is the only one not crippled at all.
...
In my experience, RAZRs on Verizon do not work nearly as well as RAZRs on AT&T.
...
My brother had a Verizon Razr and it certainly is crippled with their UI. I think the improvements on the V3xx are much better in comparison to the regular Razrs.
...
To a degree, that is true. Verizon RAZRs are crippled as hell.
...
from my expierences tho, att razrs have a multitude of problems with att's buggy software. i have a tmo razr that i've never had an issue with, but then again, who knows π
...
I've never heard any problems with T-Mo's RAZR's easier.
...
You still have to pay proration on your first bill. your post didn't make any sense about the 1.2 bills, please elaborate.
...
I already elaborated in 2 other posts. Instead of doing prorated bills for both verizon AND AT&T, I am doing it with just AT&T.
...
I still don't understand prorated only affects your first month bill so after that it doesn't matter. Its only your first bill that is high then its just normal cost so what does prorate matter?
...
I had verizon.
If I switched to AT&T before or after today, I would have had a prorated bill from verizon.
Then AT&T gives me a prorated bill when I switch over to them.
That makes 2 prorated bills.
...
eh.. π you do know that your first bill will include prorated charges and a month in advance right..?
...
Better 1 proration than 2.
...
how do they prorate you twice..? π³
that's weird man i had heard stories about vzw but this doesn't sound right.. why would they prorate you twice unless you did several changes within 1 bill cycle?
Sounds kinda odd to meπ€¨
π
...
No no, having verizon prorate me, then at&t prorate me.
Sorry for the confusion lol. Plus, this way, AT&T may not even have a set bill date, but have the first month start from the date I open the account.
...
π π π
.......
....
..
.well the way prorations work with att is they prorate you from the time you activated the line till the ends of the billing cycle & also charge you a month in advance.
porations really depend on what billing cycle you get.

Lol, every carrier has the same proration if the customer has "postpaid" billing. π€£ You will be in for a surprise.
...
Like I said to someone else, I'd rather be prorated once (with AT&T) than twice (with both Verizon and AT&T)
Particularly since Verizon's proration policies are annoying.

Again, proration policies, are industry standard. You can get upset with Verizon, but the same will happen with AT&T, Sprint, Tmobile, or whoever.
...
Um, I'm speaking from personal experience when I say every single time Verizon has prorated me, they have screwed up, resulting in me going to CS and ending up with a credit on my bill.
...
It was entertaining...I mean you have to have the Verizon acct number, and the phone number, etc. to port it....and I saw her type in my phone number. Not sure what happened, but that was fun. At least I have the correct number and phone now. π
I ended up getting the V3xx Platinum. It's pretty and I like it. lol
...
Probably didn't fully port your number and gave you a temporary number in the mean time. It is impossible to port a number without the correct account number or social security number.
...
Best Buy did that to me last year.
...
good luck with your new inferior service.
...
we would have some rich people if some of you got paid by verizon for being brainwashed they they are sooooooooo much better and no one comes close!
...
keep telling yourself that your service is the same. psu will find out the hard way and I just hope for his sake he realizes within 30 days.
...
look I have tried them all. I don't like GSM that is me. But there is no carrier that stands out network wise for voice to me. In fact the only carrier that stands out is sprint for the services they provide with data. I don't have sprint either. So you keep telling yourself you have the best if it makes you feel better. All cdma carriers are pretty = when it comes to voice. And again everyone of them will be better in certain areas of the country. Try and go to the south and get into some country and see how well anyone can hear you on verizon oh wait you will be in extended service (roaming) which you will be umm using Alltel!!
...
good luck adam I hope it works out for you.
Update us in a month will you? curious to see if you return to VZW or stay with AT&T
