Considering its $20 for unlimited data with edge, will it cost more if iphone 2.0 has 3g?

There is no price difference in the 3G and the EDGE pricing. 3G is out in a lot of East Coast markets now. Plans are the same! No difference!

But considering the iPhone data plans are unique, there's no telling.

We won't know until the time comes for the 3G iPhone's release.

If you think about it blackberry plans are cheaper then normal plans with at&t right now because they only run on edge, someday when blackberries are 3G the price will most definitely go up. capitalism.

I highly doubt that the price will rise because its on 3g. Internet usage on AT&T is the same if your 2g or 3g, no price difference, so I don't see why all of the sudden they would raise the price. You would think that a company would want to stay competitive with its competition. 😉

uh well Verizon charges $45 for there EVDO high speed data and when I had the 8525 for at&t the unlimited data was $40. I have a blackberry now and it's only $30. I could see them raising the price to the competitive levels for 3G.

They won't, the blackberry plan and the pda plan are 2 different plans and are charged different.

Blackberry 29.99
PDA 39.99

They will stay the same price.

The blackberry internet plans on verizon are $40. if blackberries ever get 3g capabilities they will inevitably go up. If you think that isn't true you are obviously not a realist. Think about it.

so you're saying the price changed when they launched 3G??? no, it went down. 39.99 pda was only data, now it includes 1500 msgs. and blackberry connect was lowered for personal because blackberry users generally use less data. most is in the form of text (email) where as pda uses more internet and email.

They have to sell another 2 million Iphone 1's before they release another debacle.

Don't hold your breath.
