This is a side question, but does anybody know if AT&T is stricter than Verizon when it comes to credit?

They should just outright reject them then. $500 deposit is for no hit customers. To be worse than someone with no credit? 😕

No credit isn't always worse than really really really really bad credit or already owing us money from a bill that went to collections four years ago.

I work for sprint on an indirect channel but my personal phone is AT&T. Our max deposit is flat out 500 if you get someone with horrible credit it will say "DO NOT ACTIVATE". We get people daily here that say there went to Verizon and At&t and had a couple hundred for deposits and with us its nothing. it helps my sells lol!!

And it will also help your chargebacks when those people don't pay their bills.

Well I know its a bit off-subject, but before 03-01-2007, Sprint ran credit using the 3 Major credit bureaus Equifax, Transunion, and Experian. On a customer with terrible terrible credit, it used to require a $500 deposit. We now run thru Equifax only, so it would only require a $250 deposit at the least. Other than that, Sprint requires a $100 deposit, or no deposit. If you have Y2 credit, or are a fresh 18 year old looking for service, your beginning requirement is 2 lines, $150 deposit each line. The WORST you could ever get previous to 03/01/2007 was 1 line, with a $500 deposit and a $75 spending limit...thats way bad. Being a responsible person aint that hard...
