is it me...or does the RAZR have the most problems?

Today we had 8 RAZR customers with the same problem. The keypad would not work except the end/on/off button. Is anyone else seeing this one too. We actually have a scoreboard in the back to track these things and the RAZR is among the leaders. I just feel bad for customers who come in and request the RAZR. I would rather sell them a SYNC or Trax or something that will actually work six months from now, but we have sales on the RAZR's all the time so it's hard to discourage customers from the cheap phone. Let me know if anyone has seen the same trend. ☚ī¸

I have been saying this for so long now. Never buy a moto. They are great to look at but suck to use. They have software issues as well as hardware issues. On the GSM side seems to be more hardware issues like the one your talking about. On the CDMA side they are just about equal!

There are two RAZRs within my family that have been in use for a long time. I have a V3xx myself. None of them have ever experienced issues, be it software or hardware.

I have seen quite a few SYNCs returned amongst friends and family though...the reception on that phone is abysmal. I wouldn't reccomend it to anyone.

Think about one thing, how many RAZR's have been sold compared to any other att phone. They have sold over 100 million world wide. That being that case, you are going to hear more bad things about the v3 cause there out there in more peoples hands.

I was just thinking the same thing. I personally don't care too much for Motos (I like SE phones better), but the RAZR has out sold all other phones by at least 2 to 1. It makes sense that there would be more problems reported.

The RAZR may have sold 100 million phones but that does not excuse the fact that they have the highest return rate. In out return box to ATT we have 10 RAZR's. I have no SYNC's. The SYNC's reception is not that bad. I carried on here in PA and didn't have any problems. I do know that the Cingular branded ones had trouble switching from 3G to EDGE and back, which could lead to some dropped calls. I just get discouraged about MOTO when we return more of them than we sell, and that includes the SLVR and v551 and all the rest.

I live in Pittsburgh where there is no HSDPA network and the GSM network as it is works the best of all the majors. I've witnessed the SYNCs poor reception performance first hand, and as logic would tell you it isn't due to transferring between 3G and EDGE as there is no 3G here.

I have 3 phones on my account, on one I have the V3xx. One has the Sync and one now has the V3. The line I have with the V3 went through 4 syncs before we gave up and got a razr so there was a working phone and we have had NO problems with it at all now. The other sync I have will not hold a charge and it has horrible call quality. I love my V3xx!! I really like motorola. I have had the normal 1st generation qlitches with it. But for the most part its been great!!
